Title: Greater Cincinnati Urban Ministry Developer | Hamilton County (Part-Time)

General Responsibilities

The Greater Cincinnati Urban Ministry Developer advances the mission of Child Evangelism Fellowship® by promoting and recruiting for its primary ministries, including Good News Club®, 5-Day Club®, and special evangelism opportunities at local county fairs and festivals. This role focuses on building Christ-centered relationships with individuals, churches, and community organizations to partner in bringing the Gospel to children throughout urban and metro Cincinnati.

Key Responsibilities (Day-to-Day Duties)

Ministry & Relationship Development

  • Build and maintain relationships with individuals, local churches, and community partners to promote CEF ministries and recruit volunteers.

  • Establish new contacts with pastors and ministry leaders, primarily within local churches in urban and metro Cincinnati (Hamilton County).

  • Provide ongoing encouragement, support, and communication to all regionally based CEF volunteers and partnered local churches.

Training & Program Support

  • Complete the CEF “Wordless Book” training—the primary method for sharing the message of Salvation in all CEF ministries.

  • Complete the CEF “Quick Start” training module for Good News Club®.

  • Assist the Local Director in scheduling and launching volunteer training events for CEF ministries.

Communication, Administration & Reporting

  • Communicate regularly with the Local Director regarding ministry progress, needs, and concerns.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of CEF’s mission and local ministry goals.

Ministry vs. Administrative Balance

This position is primarily ministry-focused, emphasizing relationship-building, church engagement, volunteer recruitment, and spiritual encouragement, with supporting administrative responsibilities related to training coordination, communication, and reporting.

Reporting Structure & Goals

  • Reports directly to the Local Director.

  • Works collaboratively to expand CEF ministries, recruit and equip volunteers, and strengthen partnerships with local churches and community organizations.

Qualifications

Spiritual & Ministry Qualifications

  • A growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrated through prayer, Christian character, and lifestyle.

  • Active membership and good standing in a local church.

  • A clear calling and passion for ministry to children and partnership with the local church.

  • Commitment to CEF’s purpose, policies, and statement of faith.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills.

  • Self-motivated with a positive, professional attitude.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

  • Existing relationships with church ministries in Greater Cincinnati are a valuable asset.
